As time rolls on, it seems that change is one of the continuing constants of the cosmos. In recent times, these changes have been dramatically different from all of the changes since the beginning of time. The very first major changes were within the physical properties of the universe itself. Then as time crept forward, the changes were in the formations of galaxies and planets and their molecular and elemental make up. Following this, came life. Changes then took place in the genetic sequences that made up the organisms of the earth.
Finally came humankind, an animal that not only propagated and evolved genetically, but also had the capacity to evolve memetically too. So, fittingly came memetic changes, and ideas and culture populated the world we have today. Many of these ideas have manifest themselves as technology, as they in turn have an effect on the way we live and the directions we take as a tool using, meme propagating, ideational species. All of these progressions from time immemorial are expressions of Yo.
